Important facts
about the federal FMLA changes and the FMLA labor law poster:
FMLA changes have been signed into law.
The Department of Labor
has now (February 11, 2008) issued an FMLA poster
insert . If
you are covered by the federal FMLA laws (if your business
has 50 or more employees) you need to post this insert along
with your existing labor law posters.
The insert can be downloaded from the Department of Labor
website and printed on your office printer. This is the url
to download the poster:
http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/fmla/NDAAAmndmnts.pdf
We expect to make
this insert available as a supplemental laminated poster to
those who would prefer to buy it instead of downloading it.
Please be aware that there may be additional changes
to the FMLA poster this year.
If you need
labor law posters now and you have 50 or more
employees, we recommend you purchase a
labor law poster kit instead of the all-in-1 (combined)
format labor law poster. That way when the department of
labor does issue poster changes, you can replace just the
federal labor law poster at a much lower cost than
replacing an all-in-1 labor law poster.
We will be notifying
all of our labor law poster customers when the Department of
Labor does release a new version of the FMLA posting. Sign
up for our
Labor Law Poster Update Notification Service to be sure
you receive this email from us.
